The guided part is 2 hours (9:30-11:30).
9:30, in front of the Grille Royale. After passing security check, keep going up, you will see a massive shiny golden gate, there you are! You are responsible for arriving at the meeting point in time for your tour.

Free cancellation 48 hours before the begining of the Tour (A for C, before 9am). 30% fee for cancellation less than 48 hours before the tour.
In the peak season (April -Sept) as we need to purchase the tickets way in advance due to high attendance, 25€ per adults and 9€ per children will be deducted from the refund.
No refunds in case of no show.

Tour description
Our journey begins at 9:30AM in front of the main entrance of the Palace, at the foot of the majestic golden Grille Royale. We will first head towards the south parterre where you will receive some background historical information about the Palace and it’s history. Start the day with a 1 hour Golfcart guided tour to explore and learn about the Palace and it’s beautiful french formal gardens with the amazing Bosquets (groves), an absolute must see ! Sit back and relax, or take the wheel and enjoy the beauty of the work of Mr Le Nôtre, Louis XIV’s favorite landscape designer.
This section of the tour is timed according to the fountains show schedule, as they are only activated from April until October, only on tuesdays and weekends, and not all day long !
Then take possession of your own private rowboat for a 1 hour self-guided ride on the peaceful waters of the Grand Canal while sipping cold french Champagne (glasses and snacks included).
Next, make your way back to the Palace on foot (10/15min) to visit it at 1:30, on you own, with a timed entry ticket.
You can also decide to visit the Palace later during the day and first have lunch or head for the Petit Trianon (Marie Antoinette’s hamlet) and the Grand Trianon (all tickets included)

We loved being able to see so much of the grounds via golf cart & bike, and our very nice and knowledgeable guide timed it perfectly with the fountains (which are only on certain days and at certain times). There’s so much we would have missed if we had tried to cover the grounds on our own. We (including our teenagers) all loved having the emphasis on the grounds rather than the crowded inside of the palace. This tour is excellent.

Margi Patel2024-03-26We were on the bike and golf cart tour with Lucie and we had booked the tour with Nima. It was a rainy and cold day but they made it bearable for us. They made sure that everyone on the tour was as comfortable as possible and got what they wanted/needed. We ended up cutting the tour short because of the weather but they expedited everything for us to the best of their ability. I’d recommend a tour with Nima and Lucie any day!! The only thing I’d suggest is the tour be a little shorter because 6 hours before even entering the palace is long. Or the entry to the palace should be the first option. And a fair warning the palace was crowded. :)

Audrey Schlorholtz2023-11-28We booked the combined golf cart + bike tour for our family of 4 during our recent trip to Paris for the Thanksgiving break and it was simply amazing! Even though the temps were a little chilly, our amazing host Nima did an incredible job delivering every aspect of the tour as promised. We learned so much at every stop and really felt like we were transported back in time as he described Versailles as it was during that time. Our kids (17 & 14) loved the golf carts and the bikes and it really helped us all appreciate the grand size of Versailles. The bag lunch from Angelina was delicious too. If you go in November the statues will be covered and the gardens will be sparse, but the crowds will be extremely low. Now we just need to go back in the spring so we can see the beautiful gardens and grounds in full bloom!
